Stand [Short Film HD]

Stand is a short film that I produced through the Cinema Entertainment Immersion at Ball State University. This film was created through an interdisciplinary program where Telecommunications students were assigned a script written by an English student and actors from the Theatre Department. Each crew was assigned a Producer, Director, Director of Photography, Assistant Director, and four audio crew. As Producer, I hired a second camera, gaffer, and production assistant outside of the program.

I was fortunate to fulfill the role of Producer on this film and lead this production from start to finish. At the end of the semester, there was a public premiere for the films created during the program. Our film, Stand, is about the evils of domestic violence and how easy it can be to get stuck in an unwanted situation. My team was full of talented and skilled individuals who helped me grow professionally and personally during this creative process.

Unconditional Acceptance: The Human & Animal Bond

Through the Virginia Ball Center, I had the honor of working on an interdisciplinary immersive learning project with an incredibly talented and compassionate team of 15 students.

We decided to create two films with this project. This was the first -- a documentary focusing on the symbiotic relationship between humans and their pets that I co-produced and sound engineered.

Along with these films, we created various educational materials and were able to distribute them to schools and animal shelters in the area.

This Emmy-nominated documentary was showcased at the Cincinnati Film Festival, Louisville International Festival of Film, and ITSA Film Festival. It also won an Aurora Award and gained Honorary Mention at the NYC International Film Festival.
